Before you get an Idaho driver's license you pass a vision screening (20/40 in at least one eye, with or without corrective lenses), a knowledge test of 40 questions taken from the Driver's Handbook, on which you can miss up to six, and a skills test in a vehicle. If you fail a test, you must wait three days to retest. If you are under 17, you must first complete an approved driver's training program and the graduated driver's license program.
